Aaron Update, November

Snippets from Aaron's emails.

I sometimes miss the easy life I used to have.

It is starting to get colder here...40s in the morning and low 60s during the day. By December it is supposed to be 30 or colder all the time. The coldest months are Jan and Feb.

Aaron Update, October

Some emails we got from Aaron recently.

I have had no contact with any ministries here...it is one of the smallest bases here so they don't have much. Religious services I miss because I am usually working on Sunday.

Aaron Update

We all miss Aaron very much. We have had a couple calls from him lately. He is enjoying the Korean Culture and food. He talked all about the restaurants. He actually LIKES shushi! He also talked about a kind of bread he ate on the plane ride over which had little jelly pea sized dots in it. We think it was fish eggs but he said it tasted good. The resaurants in Souel are interesting. He said you pay a cheap price to go into the buffet and a boat on a little river floats by the inside of your table (bar like and a big circle) and very and you can take anything you dare to eat. The catch is you only have forty-five minutes to eat! Aaron went with some Korean buddies. We'll see if we can get some photos of the resaurant on the blog.

The Korea Climate

Aaron tells us of the climate in Korea....always interesting...

The climate ok...cooler than TX but quite a bit more humid. Rainy season is very wet lol. We are experiencing a Typhoon this weekend. Tomorrow there is supposed to be heavy rain and high winds...

Airsoft Guns and Koreans

Aaron and his guns...

We had an Airsoft competition with the Korean nationals to improve US-Korean relations here. It was very fun to get to interact with the civilians. They are very committed to their airsoft tournaments and carried almost as much gear as we do when we go on exercises haha. Most were wealthy businessmen who had poured thousands of dollars into their gear and their weapons. Most were fully automatic battery powered and hurt much worse than my guns up close. At range they are fairly accurate but only sting. Very cool...I am supposed to recieve some pictures soon from it and I will try and send those as well. TTYS!

Aaron

The Koreans

Aaron sounds like he's starting to like Korea!

Just wanted to update you on things here...things are great. Korea is so much like America yet so totally different. Their system to life is like ours but their behavior in many ways is totally opposite...they are much more sharing but they are very quirky in many ways. Miss you!
